Saturday, August 1st:
- Cape Harbour Marina Farmers Market – Tour through fresh produce, locally made honey, jams and jellies, handmade soaps, homemade bread, and more, from 8 a.m. to noon at The French Press.
- Hope for Haiti 5th Annual Pub Crawl – Reservations include drink tickets for the three featured venues this year. Enjoy food specials and raffles from 3:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bar Tulia. The event costs $50 in advance.
- The Meowl Show – A unique event that features both cats and owls, located at HOWL Gallery/Tattoo, at 7:00 p.m.
- Yoga for a Cause: A Yin Yoga Workshop to Benefit No Kid Hungry: The Traveling Yogis – The Traveling Yogis are three yogi friends from New Jersey who are traveling the United States to raise money for No Kid Hungry. Their goal is to raise money to end childhood hunger, by teaching yoga for $35. If you are moving to Punta Gorda, the event is taking place in your new town.
Sunday, August 2nd:
- Family Film Series – Will be showing Finding Nemo and hosting arts and crafts inside the Visitor & Education Center from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Annual Adopt-A-Student Fundraiser – this event is a favorite of Fort Myers movers. The first 2,000 students between the ages of 5 and 12 will receive free backpacks and school supplies. They also have the chance to receive free eye exams, haircuts, get their face painted, play in the bounce-house, and enjoy live entertainment. The event will take place at the Harborside Convention Center from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
