This week, those without access to a boat or those that normally find themselves landlocked, can find themselves out on the water with National Marina Day in Fort Myers and Naples. Your local Fort Myers movers and the rest of the community will be stopping by the local marina’s that are hosting the event.
Fish Tale Marina in Fort Myers, Naples Harbour and Fisherman’s Village Marina in Punta Gorda are offering dolphin cruises and tours of the harbor, along with countless of other fun activities.
Director of Marketing for the Fort Myers National Marina Day, Jamie Huffman, addressed everyone with, “Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day is a celebration of boating. As families search for fun outdoor activities that everyone can enjoy, we want to encourage them to give boating a try.”
Activities will be going on at the marina from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., where parents and kids will be able to enjoy free hotdogs, free fishing poles for the first 50 children, a free dolphin discovery cruise, and even a drawing for a pontoon rental for a half-day. Fort Myers moving companies are also excited that the United States Coast Guard will be present and offering free vessel safety inspections, as we want all Fort Myers residents to stay safe out on the water.
Huffman further attested that, “now, more than ever, Americans need outdoor, safe, family-friendly ways to spend their leisure time. Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day introduces boating as just such an activity.”
With local marinas offering up prize packages for raffles; including: round-trip tickets for the Key West Express with a one-night stay at Key West Harbour, a sunset cruise, an hour boating lesson, and a boating safety course with the U.S. Coast Guard, National Marina Day is sure to be a local success and is the perfect way to relieve stress if you and your family recently moved to the area.
