It’s that time of year – spring training in Fort Myers! And if you’re like our local Fort Myers movers, you’re probably planning on spending quite a few afternoons scouting your favorite players on the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins baseball teams.
Whether you’re new to the game or a spring training vet, All My Sons Moving & Storage of Fort Myers has the scoop on what you need to know about spring training.
Get there early. By getting to the field early, you’ll not only beat traffic but also have a chance to catch the players’ batting practice.
Get autographs first thing into spring training. All My Sons Fort Myers movers know all too well that as the season progresses, it gets harder to nab an autograph from a popular Red Sox or Twins player. Try to get that sought after signature as early as possible. Or better yet – go after an autograph from a less-known player that’s showing a lot of promise this season!
This is the fifth spring training in Fort Myers for the Red Sox. They have held spring training in Lee County for almost 25 years, as they trained at City of Palms Park from 1993 to 2011.
This will be the second spring training season of a renewed lease for the Minnesota Twins in Fort Myers. They have been training at CenturyLink Sports complex since 1991.
Leave early. Again, beating traffic is key. Top players are usually finished before the eighth inning, anyhow, so our Fort Myers movers doubt you’ll miss any action if you sneak out of a spring training game early.
